The Visual Capitalist project visualized data from the Religious Diversity Index based on analysis by the Pew Research Center. Singapore leads the ranking of countries, Nashaniva reports.
The index measures how evenly the population is distributed across religions, with higher scores indicating a more balanced composition.
Singapore ranks first because no single religious group accounts for more than one third of the population. It is followed closely by Suriname and Taiwan.
The countries with high religious diversity also include South Korea, Mauritius, Guinea-Bissau, Togo, and Benin.
At the bottom of the ranking are countries such as Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran, and Morocco, where religious diversity is virtually absent and Islam completely dominates.
Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Latvia are among the countries with moderate religious diversity, while Lithuania and Poland fall into the low diversity category.
