Residents of Moldova place the highest level of trust in the church, and the lowest in political parties.
This is indicated by the results of a survey presented on March 30 by the human rights association Promo-LEX, Newsmaker reports.
The highest level of trust is in the church: more than half of respondents (53.5%) said they “fully trust” (21.8%) or “trust” (31.7%) this institution.
In second place are city halls, which are trusted overall by 46.2% of respondents. They are followed by the presidential administration, though with a lower level of trust at 34%.
Citizens place the least trust in the highest bodies of executive and legislative power. The lowest level of trust is in political parties, which are trusted by only about 14% of respondents.
The survey was conducted from February 22 to March 12 among 1,226 respondents.
As previously reported by LF, 64% of residents of Lithuania trust the church. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by Baltijos tyrimai.
Earlier we reported that, according to the latest study, the church ranks first in terms of public trust among citizens of Romania. According to the survey data, 63.9% of respondents say they have a fairly high level of trust in the church, compared with 57.7% recorded in July of last year.
